Boot mode Keyboard - is it working on Macs?

Hello,

I've copied your boot mode logic from boot.py into my own project (not yet on github) but it's not working on a cold-booted Mac with FileVault enabled - hoping that you could confirm that it's working for you on Mac?

For modern Macs (e.g. Intel or Apple Silicon), the boot mode support should not be needed. I added it so that I could use the keyboard under MacOS 9 on a 20-year-old PowerPC Mac Mini.

That said, I share my boot mode keyboard with a modern M4 Mac Mini, and it does work with FileVault enabled.

I have to unplug and replug the USB-C cable whenever the M4 Mini is rebooted.

The M4 Mini is plugged into the USB-C port of a Dell Ultrawide display, with the keyboard connected to the monitor's built-in USB hub. I always assumed the unplug/replug thing was because of something funny with the display, but maybe it has to do with something about the boot keyboard support... 🧐
